The days are cool and perfect for outdoor activities and sightseeing. With a large Christian population and a number of beautiful churches, Christmas is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in Mumbai and is a good time to visit the city. February is also when a lot of the cultural events such as the popular Kala Ghoda Arts Festival take place. So if you’re into literature, music or arts, this is a good time to plan a trip.

March to May:
Humidity starts rising from March and as summers start approaching. The maximum temperature in May can go as high as 40 degree. It may not be the ideal weather to head out in the sun but evenings are pleasant. Carry cool cottons and sunglasses to avoid the heat. However, there is a possibility of getting good hotel deals during this time. If visiting Mumbai during this time, you can also plan getaways or short road trips to nearby places like Mahabaleshwar.

June to October:
This is the famous monsoon season in Mumbai which sees continuous rainfall, particularly in the months of July and August. It’s a beautiful time in Mumbai, especially by the sea. While travelling during these months can seem difficult, you will realize that life never stops in Mumbai once you're there. It goes on as usual and public transport keeps running in all weather conditions. What's more, monsoon is an excellent time for you to plan weekend getaways or road trips to various hill stations around. Some of them are Matheran, Igatpuri, Lonavala, Khandala and Mahabaleshwar.
