Day1/ 9: Depart Christchurch-Arrive Auckland by Air
After breakfast, Your tour concludes this morning on check-out or drive your rental car back to the airport for your flight back home or on to the next destination.
Day 2/10: 360 Discovery Rotorua Island Tour
Just over an hour from Auckland, Rotoroa Island combines a rich social history with beautiful beaches, walking trails, heritage buildings, art, boutique accommodation, a wildlife sanctuary and an award winning museum. Opened to the public in 2011, the island was formerly a Salvation Army addiction treatment centre, initially a jail and finally a facility for recovery. This legacy of salvation is being continued today through a partnership with Auckland Zoo that will see up to 20 species of endangered native animal released on Rotoroa over the next 10 years. The first animal releases will occur in late 2014. Rotoroa is open for day trips, weekend stays, events and corporate meetings. It has three self contained holiday homes and a boutique hostel.

This full day tour has it all! From the magical glowworms and world-famous limestone formations of Waitomo to the rich cultural heritagevand geothermal bounty of Rotorua.
Leaving Auckland in the morning we travel through the lush farmland ofvthe Waikato and King Country regions. Enjoy a morning snack as you drive past Rangiriri, the location of an historic Maori Land Wars site. On arrival in the small town of Waitomo enjoy a guided tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves with their amzing stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations. We finish the tour with a silent yet magical boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto – a subterranean cavern lit up by the lights of thousands of tiny glowworms.
Leaving Waitomo enjoy a delicious picnic style lucnh as we make our way to Rotorua.We arrive at the Agrodome on the outskirts of Rotorua and take a tour of an organic working farm in all terrain vehicles. Get a sense of a working farm as you watch a sheep being shorn and view a live sheep dog trial. Leaving the Agrodome we make our way to Te Puia, one of New Zealand's foremost cultural venues.
At the conclusion of the Maori cultural performance we enjoy a guided tour of the bubbling mudpools and active geysers of the Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley including the world renowned Potuhu geyser. The tour also includes a visit to Te Puia's woodcarving and weaving schools where apprentices are trained in these traditional skills by master carvers and weavers. After the Te Puia experience we reboard the coach for the return journey to Auckland. A delicious afternoon snack including traditional Maori rewana bread is enjoyed en route.
Day2/ 11: Depart Auckland
After breakfast, board a departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home or on to the next destination.
